Kerchief Bibs

Billy is a drooly baby. He goes through five or six bibs a day. I didn't think bibs were worth sewing by hand, so I have a pile of hand-me-down terry cloth bibs that serve well.  But what's the point of a cute wardrobe, when it's always covered up by a terry cloth bib?

Kerchief bibs are quick and easy to make. You can turn one out in 15 minutes. And all you need is scraps. There are many ways to make one, and I tried out several different versions I found online.

I made this set of three with Lotta Jansdotter prints. I love her style and I buy her fabric whenever I see it on sale or in the remnant pile, so I have a good stash. This next set is made with fabric from old boxer shorts and pajama bottoms:
